(Feature) - Saudade is a coming of age, story centered on Janaìna, a young Black woman who’s never known her family. Separated from her sister in foster care at an early age she’s always felt incomplete. When she’s contacted by a lawyer citing that she’s to attend a will reading for her biological father in Brazil, she believes it to be a mistake. There’s never been a record of her parents let alone Afro-Brazilian heritage. After finding out that it’s legitimate, she takes the leap of faith to go to Brazil where she reunites with her sister, meets a new flame, and finds the family she’s always longed for.
